I try hard to have one glimpse of you.
You could be tall and smart.
You could be short but sweet.
All I know is that you are here to see me,
Yet today I cant See you..
I remember the last time someone cared for me..
She was caring and hardworking
Ready to do anything to make me walk the right path
Then there was a time, when there was no food, no water in the house
She tried to feed me with leftovers, but there was nothing she did to feed herself
Moms are like that
She wanted me to study and see the face of a wonderful family,
Yet today I cant see you..
He was good until mom left.
Then life took its toll on him.
He drank and drank, till he spent everything he had.
They kicked him out of the factory.
He sold the house, and took me in a hut.
Even this money was not to last long.
So he sold me to these wicked men.
Drunks are like that..
Dad was good when mom was here.
He wanted me to see every corner of the world,
Yet today I cant see you..
For days I had nothing to eat.
It pained a lot, until this relief-
They asked me to work and earn my meal.
They took me to a factory in this dark city.
Likes of me moving along,
There was no way I could have said ‘No’.
Soon I made friends with those around.
We worked together- day and night,
Helped each other in our plight.
Friends are like that..
We thought we would see the sunlight together,
Yet today I cant see you..
Filling gun-powder in paper rolls is no big skill,
But my little soft hands made this work easy.
My fingers burned a lot in the beginning,
But the thought of food waiting outside made me go on.
Soon my eyes started loosing sight.
Today you heard my CRY.
You came here to rescue me without a second thought.
Heroes are like that..
This is the best day of my life.
I try hard to have one glimpse of you,
Yet today I cant see you…
